CMS diploma is known as diploma in community Medical Service & essential drugs (CMS & ED). It is a diploma for primary Health Care by general allopathic medicines which are recommended by world health organization (WHO) for primary health care. The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has given an order that CMS Diploma holder can give treatment in all diseases including infaction diseases.
Who is a CMS and ED?
The Diploma in Community Medical Service and Essential Drugs (CMS & ED) is a 1.5-year program divided into three semesters. This course is designed for those looking to practice primary health care using general allopathic medicines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) for such care. The Supreme Court of India has authorized CMS & ED diploma holders to prescribe allopathic medications for all diseases, including infectious diseases.
Medical professionals who wish to practice allopathic medicine can pursue the CMS & ED diploma course.
